Bangladesh is aspired to be a higher middle-income country and achieve the Sustainable Development Goals by 2030. Labour-productivity of Bangladesh would be far-behind than the higher middle-income countries in 2030, even lower than that of the lower-middle income countries as well as those of India and Vietnam.
Bangladesh is in the fourth year of its journey towards attaining the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030. It is a high time to track and review the measures taken till date and the methods being used to deliver the SDGs in the country. The International Development Partners of Bangladesh expressed their interest in supporting Bangladesh in attaining the SDGs, particularly in the areas of human rights and good governance.

The Citizen’s Platform for SDGs, Bangladesh is going to organise a day-long Conference titled Youth Conference 2018: Bangladesh and Agenda 2030 - Aspirations of the Youth on 14 October 2018 in Dhaka.
There is a need to formulate appropriate policy framework and develop specific action plan accordingly to ensure the inclusion of marginalised and vulnerable groups of the society in the development process in a move to attain the core aspiration of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) – ‘Leave No One Behind (LNOB)’.
এসডিজি বাস্তবায়ন প্রক্রিয়া ও শোভন উন্নয়ন ধারায় সমাজের সকল স্তরের মানুষকে সম্পৃক্ত করার উদ্দেশ্য নিয়ে আগামী ৬ ডিসেম্বর ২০১৭ তারিখে রাজধানীর কৃষিবিদ ইনস্টিটিউশনে আয়োজিত হবে “নাগরিক সম্মেলন ২০১৭: বাংলাদেশে এসডিজি বাস্তবায়ন”।
বাংলাদেশ অতি শীঘ্রই মধ্যম আয়ের দেশের তালিকায় নাম লেখাতে যাচ্ছে। কিন্তু এখনও দেশের দলিত জনগোষ্ঠী নিদারুণ বৈষম্যের শিকার হয়ে জীবনধারণ করছে। এই অসমতার অবসান ঘটানো সম্ভব এসডিজির মৌলিক চেতনা, ‘কাউকে পেছনে রাখা যাবে না’ এর যথার্থ উপলব্ধি ও যথাযথ বাস্তবায়নের মাধ্যমে।
The “Citizen’s Conference on SDGs in Bangladesh 2017” is going to be held in Dhaka on 6 December 2017 with the slogan No One will be Left Behind. The daylong Conference will be organised by the Citizen’s Platform for SDGs, Bangladesh.
The Citizen’s Platform for SDGs, Bangladesh co-hosted a dialogue with The Hunger Project to tap the grassroots’ voices regarding SDGs delivery in the country.
