Bangladesh is in the fourth year of its journey towards attaining the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030. It is a high time to track and review the measures taken till date and the methods being used to deliver the SDGs in the country. The International Development Partners of Bangladesh expressed their interest in supporting Bangladesh in attaining the SDGs, particularly in the areas of human rights and good governance.

১২ অক্টোবর ২০১৮ ব্র্যাক সেন্টার ইন অডিটরিয়ামে, দৃষ্টি প্রতিবন্ধী শিক্ষার্থীদের অংশগ্রহণে বিতর্ক অনুষ্ঠানের আয়োজন করে নাগরিক প্ল্যাটফর্ম। বিতর্কের বিষয় ছিল, “প্রতিবন্ধীদের জন্য কোটা সংরক্ষণই টেকসই উন্নয়নকে ত্বরান্বিত করতে পারে না"। বিষয়ের পক্ষে বিতর্ক করে ইডেন মহিলা কলেজ ও বিপক্ষ দলে ছিল ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়।

বাংলাদেশ অতি শীঘ্রই মধ্যম আয়ের দেশের তালিকায় নাম লেখাতে যাচ্ছে। কিন্তু এখনও দেশের দলিত জনগোষ্ঠী নিদারুণ বৈষম্যের শিকার হয়ে জীবনধারণ করছে। এই অসমতার অবসান ঘটানো সম্ভব এসডিজির মৌলিক চেতনা, ‘কাউকে পেছনে রাখা যাবে না’ এর যথার্থ উপলব্ধি ও যথাযথ বাস্তবায়নের মাধ্যমে।
