করোনা অতিমারি জাতীয় ও বিশ্বব্যাপী বিভিন্ন মাত্রায় ক্ষতির সৃষ্টি করেছে। সমগ্র বিশ্ব যখন এ ক্ষতি কাটিয়ে উঠছিল, ঠিক তখনই ইউক্রেন-রাশিয়ার যুদ্ধ বিশ্বব্যাপী অনিশ্চয়তার এক নতুন মাত্রা যোগ করেছে। বাংলাদেশও সে অনিশ্চয়তার ফল ভোগ করছে।
সম্প্রতি বাংলাদেশের সরকারি দায়-দেনার পরিমাণ ও সেটি পরিশোধ করার সক্ষমতা নিয়ে বেশ আলোচনা হচ্ছে। প্রথমত, বিগত সময়ে অভ্যন্তরীণ ও বৈদেশিক খাত থেকে গৃহীত ঋণ পরিশোধের সময় এগিয়ে আসছে। দ্বিতীয়ত, দায়-দেনা নিয়ে পার্শ্ববর্তী দেশগুলোর অভিজ্ঞতা, বিশেষ করে শ্রীলঙ্কায় উদ্ভূত পরিস্থিতির পরিপ্রেক্ষিতে এই আলোচনা আরও গতি পেয়েছে।

The outbreak of Covid-19 has caused both national and global repercussions. As the world was preparing to mitigate the losses, the conflict in Ukraine emerged as another shock. As the COVID-19 is superimposed on pre-existing disparities, the repercussions for SDGs have been channelled to vulnerable groups, exposing them to a disproportionate brunt and risking the core principle of the agenda of leaving no one behind. COVID-19 has affected almost all SDG indicators.
