The Citizen’s Platform is being supported for the second time by the Canadian Fund for Local Initiatives (CFLI) to implement a project titled "Aligning Policies with Bangladesh's Aspirations: Strengthening Demand Side from the Perspectives of Marginalised Groups".
During the upcoming LDC transition, environmental compliance and labour rights are two issues that will figure prominently for Bangladesh’s overseas market access. Sustainability reporting, which is a standard that publicly discloses a company’s environmental, social, and governance practices, will be critical to this end.

Citizen’s Conference 2021: Participation of grassroots people critical to ensure democratic governance
The Centre for Policy Dialogue (CPD) and Oxfam in Bangladesh have been implementing a project titled ‘Enhancing the participation of community-based organizations (CBOs) and civil society organizations (CSOs) in democratic governance in Bangladesh’ with support from the European Union in Bangladesh. The motivation driving the project activities is to strengthen Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) localisation in the Bangladesh context.
Effective partnerships between government and non-government organisations (GO-NGO) built on trust, mutual respect and support will help achieve the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Bangladesh.
