Bangladesh NGOs Network for Radio and Communication (BNNRC) is among more than 39 media organizations from across the world that have come together to form a Global SDG Media Compact aimed at advancing awareness of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Bangladesh needs to formulate policies to regulate and promote electric vehicles (EVs) with a view to reducing dependency on fossil fuel-based vehicles to save the environment, said speakers yesterday. The government should offer fiscal and financial incentives to businesses to promote investment in EVs, they said at a dialogue titled “Electric Vehicles and Sustainable Transportation System in Bangladesh”.
In a statement Dr Gowher Rizvi, International Affairs Advisor to the Hon’ble Prime Minister of Bangladesh, said, "To achieve Sustainable Development Goals-SDGs by 2030, we all have to move forward together. And for this reason, we will have to acknowledge Dalits and indigenous people."
আমরা জানি এমডিজি অর্থাৎ মিলেনিয়াম ডেভেলপমেন্ট গোল বা সহস্রাব্দ উন্নয়নের লক্ষ্যমাত্রা পূরণে বাংলাদেশ ব্যাপক সাফল্য অর্জন করেছে। যার মেয়াদকাল ছিল ২০০০-২০১৫ সাল পর্যন্ত। এর পরই এসডিজি অর্থাৎ টেকসই উন্নয়ন লক্ষ্যমাত্রা বাস্তবায়নে জাতিসংঘের সদস্য দেশগুলোতে ব্যাপক চেষ্টা চলছে। যার মেয়াদকাল ধরা হয়েছে ২০১৬-২০৩০।
A media fellowship has been announced by HEKS/EPER for working print and broadcast journalists on 2nd October 2018 to encourage journalists to promote Dalit and plainland Adibashi rights issues. At a workshop on ‘Rights of the Dalits and Plainland Adibashis: Role of the Media’ organized by HEKS/EPER and Creative Media Ltd. (CML) at Dhaka Reporters Unity (DRU), HEKS/EPER announced the ‘Journalist Fellowship Programme’.
