One of the relatively understated issues concerning implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) happens to be the role of non-state actors (NSAs), who include the private sectors, non-government development organisations (NGOs), community-based organisations (CBOs) and civil society organisations (CSOs).
This book offers a set of summary reports that evaluate the development progress of Bangladesh, with special reference to the role of non-state actors, in the six Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) identified to be reviewed by the UN’s High-Level Political Forum (HLPF) 2019.

২০১৫ সালের ২৫ সেপ্টেম্বর জাতিসংঘের ৭০তম সাধারণ সম্মেলনে সকল সদস্য রাষ্ট্রের সম্মতি ও স্বাক্ষরের মাধ্যমে সূচিত হয় “এজেন্ডা ২০৩০”, যা টেকসই উন্নয়ন অভীষ্ট (এসডিজি) নামে অধিক পরিচিত। নতুন এই এজেন্ডার বৈশিষ্ট্য হলো এর সর্বজনীন, সমন্বিত, রূপান্তরমুখী এবং অন্তর্ভুক্তিমূলক উন্নয়ন দর্শন।
টেকসই উন্নয়ন অভীষ্টের (এসডিজি) একটি অন্যতম অঙ্গীকার হলো প্রান্তিক, বৈষম্যের শিকার ও সুবিধাবঞ্চিত জনগোষ্ঠীকে উন্নয়নের অংশীদার করা। ২০৩০ সালের মধ্যে সুষ্ঠুভাবে এসডিজি বাস্তবায়ন করতে হলে সরকারের পাশাপাশি ব্যক্তিখাত ও নাগরিক সমাজের বিভিন্ন অংশীজনের সম্মিলিত অবদান রাখা অত্যন্ত জরুরি।
