The Citizen’s Platform for SDGs, Bangladesh will track implementation of SDGs in Bangladesh, sensitise policymakers towards challenges in implementation and allocative efficiency in resource deployment, bring more transparency in the implementation process and facilitate exchange of information and coordination with all those working on the SDGs. Dr Debapriya Bhattacharya, Convenor, Citizen’s Platform for SDGs, Bangladesh shared these objectives of the Platform with the international development partners at a briefing session on 4 October 2016 at BRAC Centre Inn, Dhaka.

Dr Iftekharuzzaman, Ms Shaheen Anam, Ms Rasheda K Chowdhury, Professor Mustafizur Rahman and Mr Asif Ibrahim from the Core Group Members, and Ms Anisatul Fatema Yousuf, Coordinator of the Platform were also present at the meeting.

SDG 3 is on health but it relates to many of the other 17 SDGs and many of the 169 targets. Wellbeing is an all encompassing agenda that transcends the domain of health alone.
I am sure under the capable leadership of Dr Bhattacharya the forum will strive at its aims with success.
