Amrai Pari Paribarik Nirajaton Protirodh Jote (WE CAN Alliance) is a collective platform of civil society, organisations, individuals, institutions and others aim to end domestic violence against women. Amrai Pari (WE CAN) started its journey as South Asian campaign WE CAN in Bangladesh on 2004 initiated by Oxfam and on 2011 emerged as platform and take the registration as organisation.
In Bangladesh Amrai Pari (WE CAN) is the first platform that focuses to end violence by intimate partner which is a part of domestic violence (DV). The prime focus of the organisation is to promote the individuals who will not wait for assistance, rather will initiate steps towards preventing violence against women.
Amrai Pari was modeled along the lines of the adapted version of the Stages of Change Theory. Amrai Pari consists of 10,50,323 primary stakeholders according to database who are renowned as Change makers , where 49% are male and 51% are female. It is spread over 55 districts (out of 64) of the country, with 48 District Alliances, 250 educational institutions, 200 youth clubs and 33 CBOs and NGOs. Amrai Pari is coordinating Nari Nirapott Jote network as member secretariat and member of CIDV (Citizen Initiative against DV), Social Action Committee, Gender based Violence cluster.
