​​​​​​​​​The Share Trust’s mission is to strengthen community-driven collective action globally. Our work cuts across three strategic areas: Self Help Groups, local organizations, and the enabling environment. Self Help Groups are one of the most proven organizations, ways to drive community led development, and when they work in partnership with local organizations, this impact is amplified. When all of this happens in an environment that is conducive to local initiatives, the effect is truly transformative. We aim to shift power, process, and funding to local actors by working directly with local organizations, through initiatives like the Local Coalition Accelerator, and shifting bilateral systems to be more equipped to accompany community initiatives.  

To do this work, ​​​​​​​​The Share Trust works in deep strategic partnership with the Warande Advisory Centre, a Kenyan-led capacity-strengthening organization dedicated to empowering African civil societies by enhancing the effectiveness and resilience of civil society organizations.
