SKS Foundation
SKS Foundation is a national non-government organization established on 1 December 1987 with the joint efforts of community people and a few local self-devoted young men, women, social workers from various academic disciplines under Gaibandha. It started development works for the poor people of northern Bangladesh through different socio-economic programs. Presently SKS is engaged in implementation of integrated programs including rights-based, humanitarian and service delivery for ensuring quality life & livelihoods of the poor, marginalized & disadvantaged of 20-districts under Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka & Khulna division. Alongside, SKS is promoting socio-economic ventures through its Social Enterprises. Thus, facilitating the development intervention centering its vision “A poverty-free society where human rights and social justice be promoted, local capacity built, gender discrimination eliminated and climate-change vulnerability reduced,” SKS Foundation has reached to around 3.5 million poor & disadvantaged people & stakeholders, and in turn is contributing to the development of Bangladesh.
