Sancred Welfare Foundation (SWF)
Sancred Welfare Foundation (SWF) is a non-profit and non-political national NGO established in 1997 aiming at implementing charitable and social welfare related activities for the poor, destitute and disadvantaged section of the society. At the initial stage of its journey towards development, SWF was one of the projects of Santal Mission Norwegian Board (SMNB). In 2005, SMNB project was transformed into ‘Sancred Welfare Foundation (SWF)’ in order to launch and expand various development activities. At the outset, SWF started implementing development activities at Badaghat Union, a remote area of Tahirpur Upazila of Sunamganj district.
A visual panorama to look ahead that the people of all sect especially the disadvantageous are in a convenient place in all possible respect of social, economic, psycho- cultural and political, where a society is truly a healthy environment living with dignity with the essence of freedom, justice and free from distinguished nature of discriminations.
In all possible way, SWF is deliberately stepping forward with endeavors of development interventions to bring positive changes in the quality of life of the poorer through eliminate the grounds of sufferings of poverty, illiteracy, diseases, effect of disaster and climate changes, along with the deprivation of human rights.
People’s empowerment by promoting rights of poor and marginalized, food security and livelihood, climate justice, good health, agriculture, women-youth-child rights, good governance, responsiveness of public services, economic empowerment and employment generation.
