Noakhali Rural Development Society (NRDS)

Noakhali Rural Development Society (NRDS) is a development organization, working with the marginalized people and communities and started its mission in the southeastern coastal area in Bangladesh on 1992. NRDS works with the marginalized people and communities to achieve sustainable development by promoting sustainable agriculture, employment, health, environment, gender equity, fair trade and microfinance. The organization is working with farmers, artisan, women, adolescents and craft producers and provided training, technical support and extended its effort to provide support for sustainable livelihood.

NRDS has long experience of providing development services and also upholding the rights of people who are left behind, worked as the partner of various campaign, advocacy and social action networks and processes and engaged in advocacy on SDGs. NRDS is the secretariat of Global Campaign to Action Against Poverty-GCAP in Bangladesh and taking active role of taking forward people’s agenda to national, regional and global forums.
