National Development Programme (NDP)

The NDP was launched on 1st January 1992 as a non-governmental organisation. By virtue of the constitution, NDP is a civil society, non-profit making, non-political, non-governmental development organisation aiming to “Build a nation free of exploitation, eradicate poverty, achieving equality, good governance, rights & friendly environment for all” and successfully operating its programmes since the very beginning.

The key objective of NDP is to strengthen capacity of the vulnerable & targeted household and create scope for bringing them in the mainstream of development that contributes to improve their financial condition. Since its establishment, NDP has been paying efforts in a view to changing livelihoods of the vulnerable, poor/extreme poor people of the Jamuna & Padma River belt Districts of Bangladesh and committed to continue its efforts for their development as long as needed. At present it has 30 big and small programs/projects including Micro Finance supported by PKSF, international and national Donors agency and development partners covering 29 Upazilas under 5 Districts.
