Habitat for Humanity International – Bangladesh

Driven by the vision that everyone needs a decent place to live, Habitat for Humanity began in 1976 as a grassroots effort, growing to become a leading global nonprofit working in more than 70 countries.

Habitat for Humanity International – Bangladesh began its operation in Bangladesh in 1999 and have implemented over 80 projects so far, reaching out to more than 34,000 families in 24 districts. Currently operating in Dhaka, Cox’s Bazar, Kurigram, Khulna, Noakhali and Satkhira districts in Bangladesh, Habitat Bangladesh envisions a world where everyone has a decent place to live and is working towards ensuring adequate housing for all.

Habitat Bangladesh is currently working in the areas of Climate Resilient and Affordable Housing; Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH); Disaster Risk Reduction & Response (DR3); Urban Development and Volunteer Mobilization to alleviate the situation of vulnerable communities. Advocacy to sensitize policy level and facilitate stakeholder collaboration is embedded in each of the initiative.
