Gana Unnayan Kendra (GUK)
GUK is a national level NGO, established in 1985, presently working in 12 districts across Rajshahi, Rangpur, Khulna and Chattogram divisions through its 75 offices in district and Upazila level including Rohingya Refugee camps in Ukhia and Teknaf Upazila of Cox’s Bazar.
GUK envisions a poverty free equitable society where justice, equality, human rights and dignity of all people are ensured and works with poor, extreme poor, vulnerable, excluded and all other disadvantaged groups of people especially women, children, ethnic groups and person with disability to bring about a sustainable positive change in their lives.
The organization has a transparent and accountable governance system guided by its constitution and administered by different policies and manuals. GUK has also a total of 1793 committed and competent staffs in diverse sectors.
GUK has longstanding working relationships with government and local government bodies, Judiciary, law enforcing agencies, civil society networks and intellectuals.
