Ensure Legal Support through Local Movement and Action (ELLMA)

ELLMA (Ensure Legal Support through Local Movement & Action) is a non-governmental organisation based in Chittagong, Bangladesh, founded in 1996. The organisation is committed to national development through the upliftment and protection of grassroots-level women, working to advance equity and equality between men and women. ELLMA emphasises providing legal support to deprived women and collaborates with both government and non-governmental bodies to promote women’s empowerment, self-confidence, and poverty alleviation. Its programmes span a broad range of issues, including adolescent, women, and children’s concerns, environmental problems, child rights, gender equity and equality, and poverty reduction.
