DASCOH Foundation

DASCOH Foundation is a Bangladeshi non-governmental, non-profit development organization established in 1995, working to promote inclusive, equitable, and sustainable development for marginalized and vulnerable communities, particularly in the northwest drought-prone Barind region of Bangladesh. The organization focuses on empowering women, ethnic minorities, and disadvantaged groups through participatory and community-driven approaches that strengthen local leadership and social cohesion.

DASCOH works through Community-Based Organizations (CBOs) to advance people-led development, climate resilience, sustainable livelihoods, and improved access to essential services, including water, sanitation, health, and education. Its key interventions include climate change adaptation, Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM), public health awareness, and rights-based advocacy.

DASCOH Foundation promotes social accountability, civic engagement, and collaboration between communities, civil society, and local government institutions. Its work is closely aligned with national development priorities, government plans, and policies of Bangladesh, as well as the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly the principle of “Leave No One Behind.” Through capacity building and community philanthropy initiatives, DASCOH strengthens local civil society organisations as agents of change.
