COAST Trust

COAST Trust is an independent, non-profit, and progressive coastal NGO in Bangladesh, having registration with the NGO Affairs Bureau of the Government of Bangladesh. COAST has the Special Consultative Status of UN ECOSOC.

COAST has affiliation with several international organisations like Humanitarian Accountability Partnership (www.hapinternational.org). Currently COAST has partnership with Action Aid Bangladesh, European Union, Manusher Jonno Foundation (DFID), Oxfam Great Britain, United Nations Children’s Fund, Stromme Foundation (NORAD)-Norway.

COAST’s main objective is to uplift the socio-economic conditions of the poor and vulnerable coastal people through its intervention like micro finance and technical support, disaster risk reduction, Social Justice, primary health care, non-formal education etc. It has also a linkage between local level and policy level advocacy. It is engaged with policy level advocacy and campaigning with its advocacy wing EquityBD (www.equitybd.org).
