Christian Aid

Christian Aid (CA) is an international development organisation working in Bangladesh since 1972 with a vision to end poverty. CA is recognised for its work on disaster risk management, climate change, market, governance, gender equality and human rights. CA’s programmes promote access to just and equitable resources and support the creation of climate change adaptation, disaster resilient and thriving livelihoods for marginalized communities. CA works to empower excluded communities to claim their rights, entitlements and expand their power in social and economic spaces. CA has significant expertise and experience working with government and civil society organisations in Bangladesh. CA believes in downward accountability to communities for the services and support. Currently, CA is working with 17 partners across 22 of the most vulnerable districts of Bangladesh including the southern coastal region, north-west, central floods, wetland areas and Dhaka city.
