Centre for Policy Dialogue (CPD)
Over the last 22 years Centre for Policy Dialogue (CPD) has emerged as a globally reputed independent think-tank with local roots in Bangladesh and global reach. CPD is actively engaged in research and policy influencing initiatives, and serves as an open platform for active debate and discussion on a broad range of issues.
CPD’s deeply dedicated team of researchers and professionals endeavours to fulfill CPD’s Mission Statement which commits the Centre to service the growing aspirations of the emerging civil society of Bangladesh for a demand-driven and accountable development process. CPD carries out its mandate by stimulating informed debate, generating knowledge and influencing policy making through research, dissemination and policy advocacy. With a view to influencing policies CPD deploys research and dialogue as mutually reinforcing tools for engaging the stakeholders. CPD’s research outputs have contributed to important policy changes and policy initiatives that were geared in support of good governance, sound economic management and interest of marginalised groups in the society. CPD maintains a broad network with institutions working in common areas of interest, and has partnered with some of these in organising a number of international events both in Bangladesh and abroad.
