Bangladesh Nari Progati Sangha (BNPS)
Bangladesh Nari Progati Sangha (BNPS) is an activist women organization, working since 1986 to establish equality for disadvantaged people, particularly for women from family to state level. BNPS has been working for policy reforms at the national level, organizing and mobilizing grassroots people at the community level through a variety of program intervention and research.
BNPS follows bottom-up right based approach linking communities with CBOs/CSOs to promote non-discriminatory principles for empowering women leads to transform disable environment to an enable environment where women, minority and other marginalized groups can enjoy and exercise constitutional and human rights. The congenial working environment, culture of cooperation and team work, non-hierarchical management with activist orientation has been recognized by all as an asset of BNPS.
BNPS have expertise and wisdom having activists’ tenacity to take firm stand in the face of conservative lobbies, challenge violence extremism that causes women’s freedom and human rights.

BNPS is always active to responding to any national calamities, worked with flood and cyclone affected people, constructed cyclone center, helped people during drought and early flood in Haor areas, DRR in coastal belt and currently engaged with COVID-19 response.
