Association for Land Reform and Development (ALRD)
ALRD was established in 1991 as single focused rights based national advocacy and networking organisation. The emergence of ALRD was mainly to facilitate the land advocacy and capacity building of its partner organisation in enabling access to and control over land and other natural resources of the poor, landless and marginalized people in Bangladesh.
The vision of ALRD is a democratic, secular and discrimination free Bangladesh where equality in exercising rights, use and control over land and other natural resources for all is realised.
ALRD’s mission is to create an enabling environment to ensure a pro-poor, inclusive policy changes and their effective implementation
The program focus of the organisation are: Advocacy/lobbying and research; Mobilisation, networking and alliance building; Capacity Building, Information dissemination and communication; Legal Aid.
ALRD has a partnership network of 200+ NGOs and CSOs across the country.
