Blue Planet Initiative (BPI)

Blue Planet Initiative (BPI) is a non-government, non-profit, and non-political voluntary organization, registered in 2008 under the Societies Registration Act with the Registrar of Joint Stock Companies and Firms, Bangladesh. BPI is dedicated to protecting and developing the environment, promoting human rights, and improving governance to enhance the livelihoods of the people.

BPI’s key activities include climate advocacy, renewable energy promotion, ecosystem conservation, and capacity building in communities vulnerable to climate change. The organization also conducts research to influence policy development and engages in community-based adaptation projects to strengthen climate resilience.

BPI works in partnership with local, national, and international organizations to drive sustainable development and climate action. Through education, outreach, and collaboration, BPI empowers communities, especially youth, to be at the forefront of climate justice and environmental conservation efforts in Bangladesh.
